Frequently Asked
Questions

Everything you need to know β€” booking, Veg & Jain food, visas, and more.

Booking & Payment

Do you accept online payments?
No β€” Colors Vacations does not process any payments through this website. All bookings are confirmed via call or WhatsApp with Sunny Kawdiya. You receive a full invoice before making any payment via bank transfer or UPI.
How do I book a package?
WhatsApp or call us. Share your destination, dates, and number of travellers, and we'll send you a personalized itinerary and quote. Booking terms and any advance payment are confirmed directly with you before anything is finalized.
How much advance payment is required?
A 25–30% advance is required to confirm your booking. The balance is due as per a schedule shared in your confirmation letter β€” typically 45 days before departure.
What is your cancellation policy?
60+ days before departure: only advance is forfeited. 30–59 days: 50% of total cost. 15–29 days: 75%. Less than 15 days: 100%. All cancellations must be in writing via WhatsApp or email.
Can I customise a package?
Absolutely. Every package we offer can be customised β€” dates, hotels, extra nights, additional cities. We also build fully bespoke itineraries from scratch. Just tell us your vision.
Is the Navratri discount real, or just a sticker price?
It's real β€” every listed price already reflects the discount (up to 35% off international packages, 20% off domestic). What you see is what you'd pay, no hidden markup to discount from later.
Why do your package prices range so widely β€” from β‚Ή9,000 to β‚Ή3,00,000+?
Every trip is built to the same standard β€” 3-star minimum, verified quality, real research behind every quote. We offer real discounts year-round through group sizing and other genuine ways to bring the price down β€” larger groups get a lower per-person rate through the same hotels and services, and destination naturally affects the total. Cheap never means compromised β€” it just means a better group rate or a more accessible destination.

Veg & Jain Food

Is Veg & Jain food really guaranteed?
Yes β€” 100%. This is the core promise of Colors Vacations. Every hotel partner, restaurant, and meal arrangement on your trip is verified for Veg & Jain compliance before you travel. If you also have specific allergies or other dietary needs, see the next question β€” the short version is: tell us, and we make sure every partner knows.
Do you only work with vegetarian or Jain travelers?
Not at all β€” we plan trips for everyone. The 100% Veg & Jain guarantee is there for travelers who want or need it, not a requirement to book with us. If you eat non-vegetarian, we're just as happy to help β€” including pointing you toward great non-veg dining wherever a package's included meals offer those options.
What about food allergies or other dietary restrictions?
Absolutely β€” and we'd love to know about it as early as possible. Share any allergy, intolerance, or specific need with us at the time of booking, and we'll brief every hotel and restaurant on your trip in advance, the same warm, personal way we handle Jain requirements. The more you tell us, the better we can look after you β€” so please don't hold back, even on the small things. Since your meals come from our trusted hotel and restaurant partners rather than a kitchen we run ourselves, we lean on that relationship to take care of you, though we're not a specialised allergy facility. Tell us what matters to you, and we'll do everything in our power to make sure it's genuinely taken care of.
What does 'Jain food' mean in your packages?
Jain meals exclude all root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, beets, radish) and are prepared without any non-vegetarian cross-contamination. We communicate Jain requirements to every hotel and restaurant in advance.
What if I have specific dietary restrictions beyond Jain?
Tell us when you enquire β€” no oil, low-salt, diabetic-friendly, nut-free β€” we note everything and communicate it to our partners. No request is too specific.
Is Jain food available on international flights?
Yes. We pre-request Jain meals (VJML β€” Vegetarian Jain Meal) on all flights included in your package. For flights you book independently, we'll guide you on how to request it from the airline.
What about Veg food in more remote areas?
Even in less accessible spots β€” like trekking regions in Nepal or Bhutan's mountain routes β€” we confirm Veg meal arrangements with local guides and camps in advance. In the Maldives, resort chefs are briefed ahead of your stay. No surprises.

Visas & Documents

Do you help with visa applications?
We provide complete visa guidance, document checklists, and appointment support for all destinations. For select packages, we coordinate with visa agencies on your behalf. Visa fees are separate.
Which destinations require visas for Indian passport holders?
Among our destinations: Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, and Mauritius are visa-free or visa-on-arrival for Indian passport holders. UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Hong Kong, Macau, and New Zealand require an e-visa or advance visa β€” we handle the application as part of your package. China requires a 144-hour transit visa for our Canton Fair packages. Requirements change periodically, so we always confirm the current policy before you book β€” see our full Visa Guide for details.
What documents do I need to travel?
Generally: valid passport (6+ months validity), visa, travel insurance, hotel vouchers, flight tickets, and emergency contacts. We provide a complete pre-departure document checklist for every booking.

During the Trip

What if something goes wrong during my trip?
Call or WhatsApp us directly β€” we stay reachable throughout your travel period and liaise with hotels, airlines, and local contacts to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
Do you provide travel insurance?
Yes β€” travel insurance is included in most packages. For packages where it is listed as excluded, we strongly recommend purchasing it and can guide you to the right provider.
Are your local guides English-speaking?
Yes. All our guides in India are English-speaking and licensed. For international destinations, guides speak English and are briefed on Veg & Jain food requirements.
